Music industy vet launches online music store songstash.com

Music industry veteran Jane Crossman announced Thursday she has launched online music store songstash.com.

Formerly known as songsintheattic.com, songstash.com is designed to link singers looking for new singles with the writers and publishers who manage the copyrights. Of note, songstash.com will provide song demos for review and/or for sale to anyone searching for a future hit song.

Crossman, who has served as a program director, marketing director and web director at various music industry entities, has brought on Studio1Bee, spearheaded by Skip Bishop. Before launching Studio1Bee, Bishop was most recently a senior executive at Sony and is credited with facilitating more than 40 No. 1 hits played on country radio stations.

“Jane approached us at Studio1Bee with one of the more innovative ideas we'd seen in some time,” Bishop said in a release. “Already, we've been approached by some of the most influential songwriters and A&R executives asking about access and participation.”
