The owners of proposed cosmopolitan restaurant/bar Echo have submitted full architectural and mechanical plans for their Encore condominium building space in SoBro.

Doug Hogrefe, a partner with Echo Encore Partnership LLC, said Metro Codes Department officials have the documents. Relatedly, work is expected to begin this week within the Echo space, which fronts Almond Street, on the installation of a grease trap and some utility lines. Hogrefe said the partnership is working with Barry Brechak Architecture + Design.

If all goes as planned, the restaurant should open by late spring.
