The team at Smith Travel Research has done some serious number-crunching to tally how the hotel sector is recovering from the Great Recession on a county level. Rates are rebounding, say Steve Hood, Carter Wilson and Nate Fristoe, but a number of counties will have to wait until late this year to see pricing power that gets them to a positive year-over-year comparison. The map shows that one of them is Davidson County, while Williamson and Wilson are in the green already.
