Barrett Firearms on National Geographic
The family behind Murfreesboro-based Barrett Firearms — Ronnie, Chris and Angela — will be featured in a National Geographic special, dubbed 'Snipers Inc.', airing on June 27 at 8 p.m.
The hour-long documentary covers Ronnie's invention of the .50-caliber rifle in 1982 and the dynamics of the family-owned business, its decision making and manufacturing processes.
“Our story has been shown before on national television, but either as something specific to the firearms industry or a political stance that we’ve taken on behalf of Second Amendment rights," Ronnie said. "This documentary by National Geographic explains how our family business functions on a day-to-day basis and how Chris, Angela and I interact with our employees to produce quality products while planning for future growth.”
