Weeklong program to immerse high schoolers in leadership

A select group of 16- and 17-year-olds from around the country will convene for a week at the Scarritt-Bennett Center in June to dive headlong into organizational leadership courses led by national expert John Miller. The first ever Managing Ourselves conference is being co-organized by local companies TernionM — founded by Miller last year — and ALOC Group and its speaker lineup has a local flavor in the form of Belmont entrepreneurship professor Jeff Cornwall.

We'll pack an intense 70 hours of learning into a single week. No boring lectures here! This is experiential learning, which means you're really doing the work you're learning from. We'll work together to seek, to understand and to propose the most creative solutions you can think of to some of your world's most pressing challenges.
