Five local PR firms among nation's biggest independents

Five Nashville-area public relations firms have landed on O'Dwyer's 2011 list of the 151 largest independent PR firms. Ranked by 2010 net fees, the list (available here) is led by New York-based Edelman, which brought in nearly $522 million last year.

Here are the Nashville firms that made the list:

  • 55th — McNeely Pigott & Fox with fees of $5.9 million, flat from 2009

  • 63rd — Dye, Van Mol & Lawrence with fees of $5.2 million, up 14.8 percent

  • 82nd — Seigenthaler Public Relations with fees of $3.9 million, an increase of 15 percent

  • 91st — Jarrard Phillips Cate & Hancock with fees of $3.2 million, a 39 percent increase

  • 130th — Katcher Vaughn & Bailey with fees of $1.1 million, a 9.9 percent decline from '09

Special thanks to Jarrard for pointing out the list by announcing that its 39 percent annual growth rate makes it the 14th fastest independent public affairs firm in the country.
