Trucking index suggests stronger regional economy

After a four-month streak of shrinkage, the four-state region that includes Tennessee posted stronger trucking activity in October, suggesting 2011 may end on an upbeat economic note. (If you listen to some economists, you'll hear talk of a 4 percent GDP number.) The 1.5 percent gain registered regionally by the Ceridian-UCLA Pulse of Commerce Index last month outpaced the nation as a whole. Check out the full report here.
